David Dobbs writes about science, medicine, sports, fishing, music, human behaviour and other forms of culture. His work for publications such as National Geographic, the New York Times Magazine, The Atlantic and Pacific Standard have won spots in “Best of” anthologies such as The Best American Science and Nature Writing and national awards such as the AAAS/Kavli Prize for Magazine Writing. His own favourite among his four books, My Mother’s Lover, was a Top 10 Kindle bestseller that at one point outsold Unbroken. His other favourite, Reef Madness, is inexplicably out of print but still available. Originally from Texas, once a Londoner, Dobbs now ponders such conundra from his home in Vermont.
